About this experience
Join a docent-lead tour of Locust Grove's Georgian-style home as we explore the lives of the Croghan and Clark families, the enslaved families who toiled here and the nationally known people who visited here. History, and material culture come together as we compare and contrast the lives and lifestyles of the past and present. Notice - Metro Louisville requires face masks be worn in Metro Parks and Recreation buildings, including Locust Grove, or when social distancing is not possisble outside. Groups larger than 10 people, please call 502-897-9845 to schedule a group tour.
Locust Grove's volunteers are outstanding! They have received years of training in the history of Kentucky and its place in the nation's history, as well as material culture of the time period. Many docents also pursue more in-depth knowledge in antiques, architecture, military history, and historic occupations on their own and they are always happy to share. If we don't know the answer to your question, we probably know someone who does!
