Locust Grove, near Louisville, Kentucky, was built as the home of William and Lucy Clark Croghan between 1790 and 1795. George Rogers Clark, conqueror of the Old Northwest Territory during the American Revolutionary war spent the last nine years of his life at Locust Grove with his sister Lucy and her family. Today Locust Grove is a National Historic Landmark and accredited museum that holds in its collection several antique samplers. Motifs from each sampler have been incorporated into this kit.

  • Repeating Greek key design: Eliza H. Doe 1836 Sampler
  • Strawberries: Clark Sampler
  • Wreath and initials: RVS Memorial Sampler
  • Chevrons: Catherine Dix 1839 Sampler

Finished size 12" x 12" on 18 count Charles Craft fabric. Kit includes fabric, one needle and embroidery floss.

Frame is not included.
